I have task on a completed sprint that I want to move to the current sprint. It this possible? I'm searching the outer edges of JIRA/Greenhopper but I cannot find anything that suggests that it is possible.

Yes, this is possible. You just need to edit the value of its Sprint field on the Issue. To achieve this, please add this custom field to the Edit Issue screen and then edit its value for this task.

I was able to do this more or less. Via Field Configuration > Sprint > Screens. There I selected "default screen". After that I was able to go to the issue and select the field via Edit > Configure Fields .

Now the field is editable but you need to know the id of the sprint, which is visible in this field only. So this is a bit cumbersome as you first have to find out the technical id of target sprint. To do that you have to open an issue from the target sprint, edit it, edit the field, to read the technical id.

Is this the only way?
