Question about mail handler

Jakub Szymański April 26, 2023

Hello community!

I have a question about mail handler for incoming mails (Jira cloud).

I'm not 100% how it works.

Maybe I will try explain my situation:

I have set handler (for default cloud mail server):

handler1.jpg

Result is, when I send mail for address "jira@afpl.atlassian.net" get new issue in project SENT-TEST which is correct.

But now every email for that address (jira@afpl.atlassian.net) will create new issue?

Is possible to set one address from I want to make issue for that project?

I want to get situation:

If sender is company@example.com
recipient is jira@afpl.atlassian.net
then create a issue in project SENT-TEST

Thats all. But only for one sender address.

Can You give me some advice. Thank You

I found one thing. Only users of my instance of Jira which have licence can create issue via mail. But still I cant found option to specify just one sender.

Still looking for this:

If sender is company@example.com <- missing that step
recipient is jira@afpl.atlassian.net
then create a issue in project SENT-TEST

Regards
