Hi everyone,

I want to import subtasks together with the tasks they belong to, but I get the following error. Can friends who have done this process before help?

Hi @Berat Altunhan ,

I'm assuming you're using a CSV import for this.

I found this thread, which provides some potential solutions for sub-task import failures via CSV: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Import-sub-task-from-CSV-file/td-p/1751443

1. One potential solution was related to using a non-numerical parent ID (but rather, the existing key).

2. Someone gave an example of a CSV template to use. (See below).

3. If all that fails, try uploading your data into a spreadsheet that connects directly with Jira bi-directionally. Visor is one such spreadsheet. You can create nested spreadsheets with your external data and push it over to Jira: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1226209/visor-flexible-spreadsheet-for-jira-roadmapping-bulk-edits?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

I hope that helps!

Hi @Becky Brooks - Visor for Jira

Thanks for feedback. I will check this link but https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/Import-sub-task-from-CSV-file/td-p/1751443 steps did not work.

I created a simple CSV file to try it out.

Peer Review is custom issue type. In the same time, Peer Review Finding is custom subtask issue type. And both issue types are defined in the jira project I imported. When I imported like this, I get error as in the screenshot below. Jira transfers the main issue, which is Peer Review, but does not transfer and link the subtask, Peer Review Finding.

I check their custom field and all of them global field.

But when I imported as Story and Subtask I can import by connecting in subtask without getting any error.

What could be the reason for this. It seems like there is a problem with the custom issue type.
