I am a new Jira user, and have much to learn.
We currently use Jira Cloud Standard. I am looking for roadmap features that will display:
- the release date of a project based on estimated timing included in tasks
- the estimated release date based on actual timings
- task (and sub-task) dependancies
- the impact a delay in a task will have on the overall release date
Advanced Roadmaps provide a lot more features, however we are currently not using Jira Premium. Is there perhaps a stand alone app that would integrate into Jira that would display the features above?
TIA :)
Hello @Raedene Reardon, welcome to Jira and the Atlassian Community!
Yes, there are a number of third-party apps in the Atlassian Marketplace that could help you build a roadmap that displays this information. One of them is Structure.Gantt, the flexible roadmap and Gantt chart extension used together with Structure.
Structure lets you build any issue hierarchy you need – including levels above epics – to pull issues from multiple projects and teams in one spreadsheet-like overview.
Structure.Gantt then lets you visualize this overview in a roadmap format, where you can create and edit dependencies by drag-and-drop, use baselines to track progress, resolve scheduling conflicts in a few clicks, and more.
Used together, they're quite a flexible solution, as you can build the issue overview you need on the left, expand and collapse the tree view as you see fit, and view the corresponding roadmap which dynamically updates on the right.
Both Structure and Structure.Gantt are available for Jira Cloud, and you can try them free for 30 days.
Disclaimer: I'm part of the Structure team, but I hope this helps in case you're open to different approaches!
Best,
Kathryn
Hi Kathryn Vargas _ALM Works_
Thanks for reaching out. Could you let me know if the integration into Jira would enable us to create and adjust tasks in Jira, and have these tasks automatically updated in the gantt chart that would then indicate how these adjustments will impact the release date of our projects?
TIA
Kind regards
Rae

Hello @Raedene Reardon
This is something we offer at minware. Our plug and play dashboard combines version control, ticketing, and calendar data to automate reporting. We've just launched a new predictive roadmap, in addition to our sprint insights reports.
Our roadmap can be broken down by epic, or task assignee, and you can expand each to view the progress of stories or tasks if that is of interest to you. We also automatically provide visibility into dependencies and weigh weekends to help make your product roadmap as reliable as possible.
We offer a free trial, let me know if you would like to check it out!

Hi Meghan LaClair
Thanks for connecting.
Please could you send me a link to your app so that we could check this out.
Could you also let me know whether the integration into Jira would enable us to create and adjust tasks in Jira, and have these tasks automatically updated in the gantt chart that would then indicate how these adjustments will impact the release date of our projects?
Thanks so much
Kind regards
Rae

Yes, the tool will update automatically as you add or update tasks in Jira. Here is the link to our marketplace app.
Depending on the size of your project the tool can take a few days to populate - once that is finalized our team will reach out and set up some time to review / formally begin the free trial.
