I would like to be able to prompt the user to review some fields and confirm they are correct before allowing a status transition to happen. The values may have already been populated correctly or may not have. The goal is to pause the user to have them review the values before moving the issue to the next step.
I made a screen with the fields to review but don't see a way to prompt the user with a message to confirm the values before proceeding. Can I put a pop up type question on the screen so they read it and then confirm the values and proceed?
thanks for your help.
@Scott Thurston my team has built the app ProForma forms for Jira. With the automation and validation rules in Proforma you can make it so that a form must be completed and submitted before an issue can be transitioned to a new status. For example people use a form to construct a checklist with a new feature/epic to ensure that all the required teams within an organisations have been notified of the new feature/epic before it can be marked done.
You can try it on the instant demo (no login/email required). There is also a free version called ProForma Lite.
Have you tried the Message Custom Field (for view)?
Ravi
UPDATE: This field will only appear on Issue View. So I think you can just rename your field to something like "Review Fields", so it is clear for the user. So you can use the Message Custom Field (for edit) instead.
