Is there a JSM app that would help me to bulk delete attachments? Basically, I'm looking for a way to delete social media icons that come in as attachments.

we help Jira administrators automate their data backups and provide for granular restore of issues, configuration, attachments etc..
Given that we backup all the data, we introduced a feature which helps you look through your attachments in the backup and provides you with additional analytics (size etc..). We have on purpose not introduced the deletion feature. I would love to get your input on the use case for deletion, please feel free to block 30 mins on my calendar. You can learn more about our app here.
Thank you
Vish
Thanks @Vish Reddy {Revyz} Vish,
The main purpose for me is bulk deletion of unneeded attachments such as social media icons that come though in signature lines.
Thanks.

Hi Katherine,
If you’re looking to bulk delete attachments (without an add-on) from the issue’s attachment panel, you could try this:
If you’re looking to utilize a marketplace app, you could look into Smart Attachments for Jira
You could also look into other Marketplace Apps for Jira Cloud here.
Hope that helps,
Hamza

There is a feature request to address the issue natively that you can track here: JSDCLOUD-6037.
Automation for Jira does have an action capable of deleting attachments, as you can see in this example:
You can use a regex expression to determine the criteria for which files to delete and which to leave. That is the achilles heel of this workaround, I'm afraid. Because you do not want to remove to many or too few attachments.
Hope this helps!

I don't know much about regex. Is there way to do a regex statement by file size?
