Can I set workstream(Custom Field) by default in child issues of an Epic?

Hello Team, Is it Doable?

When creating child issues from an Epic, would it be possible to automatically set the Workstream(Custom Field) in the child, by default, to the value in the parent Epic?

E.G.

• create Epic with  Workstream "Data"

• create Story within that Epic

• the dropdown for Story. Workstream defaults to "Data"

• Same behavior for other child issue types (Task, Bug, etc.)

Hi @Gargi Panchal 

You can copy the field value from the parent either through an Automation or a workflow post function.  

Don't worry about the get it free button you already have it on Jira cloud :)
