I have checkboxes that have a few values :

  • value1
  • value2
  • value3
  • other

now, how to make a condition,

if the user choose "other" value, the user must fill another field (free text field, to decribe the Other value)Impact to.JPG

Hi @Rizky.Tuasikal

For that to happen, you have to have an application, like JMWE, JWT, JSU or scriptrunner, which allow conditional validators on field. This mean that you can add a PF that  "Others (Impact To)" field is required ONLY WHEN the "others" selection is selected.

Im using JMWE right now,

should I use Field Required Validator (JMWE app)?

can you help me to explain the query?

@Rizky.Tuasikal

Replace all necessary fields from the rectangle below, with your corresponding fields

I got it, but one more question,

if the user choose value 1 & other at the same time,

Should I use != "Others", instead "==" , right?

Nope. Leave it as is and test scenarios:

  • Users chooses only Other
  • User chooses Other and a second choice
  • User chooses one or more choices (except Other)
