ECO Management in Jira

We are looking for an application/plug for ECO management that will have also a BOM`s management /document version control/ Approval mechanism.

Could you expand a little on your TLAs?  I'm not sure people will give you a helpful answer without knowing what they are (we might answer the wrong question)

Sure, sorry, we want to create a procedure of (ECO)engineering change order and (BOM) Bill Of Material, to support the life cycle of products such as a (PCB) Printed Circuit Board or any other mechanical unit

Ok, why do you think you need an app for this?  What parts of your processes are not currently being done by Jira?  (Apart from "document control" - most people would do that in Confluence)

I need the following:

1. few approvals on each document.

2. Doc control and track changes (I will try Confluence)

3. Change request is issued, When the change is approved, new relevant documents must be issued with their respective version number changed.

4. When the change is approved, new relevant documents must be issued with their respective version number changed (these documents can be BOM, gerber and assy files, schematics, etc.).

5. After the approval additional people need to be notified about the change (engineering, operations, manufacturing).

I am using confluence application and it fit my needs.

@eran -- Hey Eran.. do you have any further information on HOW you accomplished this via Confluence ??  Is there some sort of plug-in / template or something for ECO management ?? I am not easily seeing how to do this "manually" -- Thanks!
