Epiclink not filtered when editing an issue

Nicolas Karlinski June 16, 2020

Hello there

the list of EPIC displayed when creating an issue is correct (EPIC from the project first, no showing epic with EpicStatus = done)

but when I want to edit an issue, the list is unfiltered:

the EPICs CMB-51, CMB-48 CMB-54 and CMB-58 have EpicStatus=Done

Does anyone has an idea how to display the correct list ?

Hello @Nicolas Karlinski

Thank you for reaching out.

The behavior you are facing when clicking to edit the Epic link field is a bug in the new issue view, which causes done Epics to also appear in that list with no option to hide them as we have in the create issue view.

We created the following bug report to properly fix this behavior:

Done/completed epics appears in "Epic Link" field in the new issue view

Feel free to vote and watch the bug to increase its priority and also receive notifications about its fix implementation.

If you are using a Classic project, you can work around the issue by disabling the "New Jira issue view for software projects" on your profile page.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks @Petter Gonçalves I will vote for the bug and share my work around
