Epics in backlog view

When we do a SQL query on our project, the list comes up with more epics than we have displayed in our Product Backlog view, which is not correct. What setting in the epic determines that it is visible in the Backlog?

What is your JQL statement? It could be that your stories are in epics from other projects.

The epics are all from the same project 😊

In that case I would check the JQL statement and board settings for your backlog. I'm happy to review both with you if that would help.
