Hi,
I've recently been creating New Issue Types on a Next-Gen Scrum Board. I've configured the context, description and hidden fields.
However, when I create an issue in the Project, I can't see these fields, and so far have had to configure the issue each time.
Is there a cap on Custom Fields?
For context: I'm an Admin on our Instance, and on the Project this relates to.
in case you were not able to resolve the issue you faced, yet - please feel free to share a screenshot (please don't forget to anonymize private, personal/sensitive information).
Like Walter already perfectly said a lot of changes came to Jira Cloud lately so it is just too easy to miss the one or another aspect from time to time.
Regards,
Daniel
Hi, thanks for this, we were impacted by this issue:
Delay for newly created fields availability and usage
Incident resolved
Between 17-Dec-20 2:00 AM UTC to 23-Dec-20 11:40 AM UTC, we experienced an issue with newly created Jira fields behaviour, that was impacting some Jira cloud customers. The issue has been resolved and the service is operating normally.

Hi @Imogen Jones,
I am not aware of any limit on the number of custom fields you could add to an issue. However, quite a lot is changing around the so called new issue view currently, so I'd recommend you to check out this Community post on the topic.
Apart of having a look whether you're using either the new or the old view also a silly remark maybe on my part - also check whether you haven't configured any fields as hidden. In that case they obviously won't be visible when you create an issue.

Hi @Imogen Jones ,
I have checked with my instance and custom fields are working fine for me. You have to configure the field for each issue types. Like if you want a custom field for 'Task and Story' issue type it means you have to configure this for both the issue types. I would recommend please check if you have hide the fields or you can check if this is the issue of new issue view.
I hope it will help you.
