This seems really easy to do because Activity Stream can filter by Username:
Then you discover that you have no idea what you username actually is because of the way Atlassian has "said goodbye to usernames". Searching around and trying stuff out I have failed to be able to create this trivial activity stream. I've tried using my long UID, but that doesn't work. I've tried my email address, but that doesn't work. I've tried the display name for (at) references, and that doesn't work.
Everything results in "No activity was found".
How am I supposed to create this obvious and simple Activity Stream?
Hello Phil,
Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!
Since the usernames are not visible in Jira anymore due to GDPR, the Activity Stream also won't work using this option.
I tested here using the account ID, but it doesn't work as well, so I believe we must wait until the feature below to be implemented:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.
Also, I would like to share a bug created in 2012 where the Activity Stream wasn't working with usernames. To be honest, I haven't tested this ability before the username removal, so I don't know if it worked and when it stopped working.
Regards,
Angélica
I have upvoted, watched and commented on the raised CR. However, it seems Atlassian are not being very joined up with UX and API behaviours. No way should this feature just quietly stop working - it should either be able to continue to function using the user GUID in place of a username OR it should be removed.
Clearly I would vote to keep it and have help explaining where to find the values to be entered to allow self-activity filtering. That could even use a dummy value like @Kevin Read to make it super-easy.
