How to add Epic key to an subtask description w/ automation

Tiago Pereira

I am trying to add the Epic key, via an automation, when creating a subtask to populate description w/ a text that includes Epic Key, the thing I already tried several smart values but wasn't successful, I think is due to the fact of the relationship not being "parent".

I tried the following smart values:

{{issue.parent.key}}

{{issue.parent.priority.name}}

{issue.parent.epic.summary}}

{{issue.epic link}}

{{issue.parent link}}Screenshot 2023-09-08 084428.png

{{issue.parent}}

Hi @Tiago Pereira,

Try to use the smart value {{triggerIssue.key}} instead. Will it work?
