Hello,
Right now, the field "Epic Name" is not required.
How can I make it required?
In the field configuration, it is locked so I don't know how to do:
Thank you!
Hi @Sylvain Fabre ,
Epic Name, as the name of the field suggests is applicable only for Epic issue type. When you create an Epic, Epic name is mandatory. If you want to link other issue types to an Epic, you should be using Epic Link field
The solution is to use validator on Epic workflow at Create time. You need Jira admin permission and a workflow specific for Epic to make this work.

Hi everyone,
Facing the same issue, the Epic name does not show as required when creating the epic.
Configuration shows locked so no way to make it required as @Sylvain Fabre screenshot shows.
Please advise.

To make a field mandatory, go to settings->Issues->Field Configurations.
Under Actions click on configure... search for the field and make it mandatory.
BTW, As Niranjan mentioned Epic Name will be applicable to Epic issue Type and not the custom issue type that you may have created.
