I am trying to sum up customs fields

I am trying an automated rule where I have a set of issues and I want to sum up a custom value of all the issues.

I have tried with a branch for each issue but I don't know how to sum the value from one issue to another. I have tried with a variable but it does not sum up the value...

{{#=}}{{webhookResponse.body.fields.customfield_10010}} + {{webhookResponse.body.fields.customfield_10011}} + {{webhookResponse.body.fields.customfield_10012}} + {{Suma}} {{/}}

Anyboady could help me whith this? Thank you!

Hi @Germán Isaurralde

Would you please post images of your rule and the audit log details?  That may provide more context for the community to offer suggestions.  Thanks!

Until we see that...

You appear to be making a web request to get issues from somewhere, and then trying to perform math on the results.  Is that correct?

If so, a few observations to try to help:

  • When expecting the response to contain a list of issues, you need to parse that as a list before trying to add those fields
  • You do not describe the field types for the custom fields: text, numeric, etc.  Perhaps try using .value.asNumber to convert the values prior to the addition.
  • If the issues are already in your Jira instance, what purpose does calling the web request provide?  Could you instead just use JQL and the LookupIssues action to gather the issues and sum the fields?

Kind regards,
Bill

Hello @Bill Sheboy

Thank you very much for your quickly reply.

Finally I have made a SQL seach and use {{LookupIssues}} value. It was easier.

Regards,

Germán.
