I have stopped receiving notifications and emails on a number of tickets that I am watching

I first noticed this issue at the start of the week and I assumed that it was a one-off, but it has occurred again today.

I am watching a Bug ticket that I have previously commented and interacted on, but I am not being notified when other users comment on the ticket.

For example, I am watching the ticket below and you can see that a user commented on the ticket a couple of hours ago:

However, I have not received a notification or email:

My settings are correct and have not been changed:

Do you receive any other notifications from Jira?

If you have stopped receiving all Jira notifications, your email address may have become blacklisted on the Atlassian side. You would have to contact Atlassian Support to find out for sure if that is the case and get you address removed from the blacklist.

If you are receiving other notifications, then it is possible that the Notification Scheme for the project has been changed such that Watchers don't receive notifications when Comments are added. Contact the Project Administrator for the project to find out if that is the case.

Hi Trudy,

Thank you for the response.

I receive the majority of emails and notifications, and the issue appears to be occurring sporadically.

I have even received emails and notifications on the ticket in question, and on comments where I am not tagged so there definitely appears to be an issue on the Jira side.

Hello Matthew,

Apparently it is a known issue that a Watcher who is Mentioned may not receive email for the mention.

Hi Trudy,

This appears to be different unfortunately.

I am not receiving any emails or notifications whatsoever on random tickets that I am watching.

I am positive that this is a bug with Jira that may have been introduced as part of the latest update.

How can I escalate this?

There is an option to Raise A Bug within Jira. Use that to contact Atlassian Support directly.
