Currently in Jira you can link tasks and you will get a warning if one linked tasks is pushed out but it does not automatically update the other linked tasks like it would with Microsoft Project... Is there a way to add in this option?
Hi, @Kristine Gemici. To add a little to what @[deleted] said. There are a number of Gantt solutions on the Atlassian Marketplace. You may want to do your own search and use the sort criteria Atlassian offers like "top selling" or "highest rated," for example.
Top Rated + Cloud Fortified (adheres to Atlassian Security Standards)
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/addons/app/jira/top-rated?moreFilters=cloudFortified&query=gantt
Top Selling + Cloud Fortified

Of course, you should craft your own search criteria. These are just examples.

@Trudy Claspill was right in asking what you are using for your timelines, too. Jira Cloud Premium comes with Advance Roadmaps and it has a built-in "Gantt-like" feature. That's what you are using. But the other Gantt solutions mentioned and at the end of those search strings have broader/deeper capabilities IMO.
Hope this helps,

@Kristine Gemici what you show in the image is a roadmap, maybe you need a Gantt, so you can try #bigpicture or #swanly @Nikki Zavadska _Appfire_ / @Anna-BigPicture

You used the word "Timeline". Are you working with a Business project Timeline? Are you working with an Advanced Roadmap for a Software project?
How did you link the tasks together?

Trudy, hello!! I am referring to the "Roadmap" area below: it will give you a little yellow error when a linked task date is off but it does not automatically push the whole schedule out... This is a really important feature for project management , especially when dealing with large projects. We use this for standard waterfall non-software related projects along with our software related projects...
