Hello,
We have an automation rule that clones a ticket from project A to project B, when the ticket is set to "in progress" state in project A.
The ticket cloning is successful, but the images are not copied properly. In project B, it says "preview unavailable" (while it continues to display well in project A, no issues in the original ticket)
Any input to fix this will be helpful?
Thanks.
Hello @Balaje
On the cloned issue can you see the attachments? Does your rule clone the attachments filed also? On your rule "Choose the field's to set " attachments need's to be checked.
Does the user (automation actor) have permission to "create attachments" in the project where you clone your issue.
BR, Olga
Hello @Olga Videc
Thanks for your suggestions.
I analysed all the points that you suggested and this one worked for me - "On your rule "Choose the fields to set" attachments needs to be checked."

Hi @Balaje welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Reading through the documentation article Clone an issue, I don't see a reason why the attachments aren't cloned when selected.
Do you have the same issue when you clone an issue within the same project?

Hi Dave, thanks for your response.
If I follow the (Clone an issue) procedure and clone within the same project, then I do not have this issue - meaning, the images are also copied in the new ticket along with other content.
The issue occurs only when the ticket from one project is cloned to another using an automation rule.

Check the permission as per answer from @Olga Videc . If permissions are OK, I would submit a support request with Atlassian if no other solutions are posted here.

Hi @Dave Mathijs , one of Olga's suggestion worked for me. Thanks both for your time and quick response.

Hi, I am having the same issue with cloning a ticket to a new project. I have the same permissions amongst the projects and I have selected copy attachments in my automation. The attachments show up as attachments but I still get an "Unable to preview" in the description of the clone. How can I fix this?

Actually, it worked. I think I just needed to wait a few minutes for the images to load. Never mind!
