Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×We are intending to use advanced roadmaps for all of our project planning. At the moment we use MS project which allows for automatic shifting of start and end dates based on progress and dependencies set for each task.
Is there a way to shift the plan onwards (update start and end dates) for more than one task? or is it a manual exercise per task?
Thanks
Jamie
Hi @Jamie Cox
In your plan scheduling configuration make sure your dependencies are configured as Sequential. You won't get all the features of MS project but if you follow SCRUM with sprints (start and end dates of those sprints are considered) , story points, releases and if you plan source is that board that all these factors are considered by the scheduler.
I hope it helps.
Ravi
Thank you for the prompt reply!
The added complication within our use case is that we manage our team capacity outside of Jira (but we are in the process of moving to Tempo planner). We specify what project each resource is working on a daily basis rather than using % allocation in a time period. I'm guessing that we could manually set the sprint capacity once we have decided how much resource (days) we are committing to the sprint?
As we are a professional services business we estimate our epics and stories in days rather than story points, does this feature still work for days estimate?
Thanks
Jamie
