Is there a way to keep mails in outlook after creating a issue in Jira using mail handler so that it won't disappear.

If yes please guide me.

Based on this statement from Atlassian documentation I am afraid this cannot be possible.

How Jira handles messages on a mail server

• Jira scans email messages received in your

• account's inbox. With an IMAP server, you can specify a different folder to scan.

• If Jira successfully processes a message, it deletes the message from your mail account or file system. If a message is not successfully processed, it will remain in your mail account or file system.

However, you might try to create a rule in your mail server to copy e-mails to a folder on which Jira is not watching to fetch e-mails into issues or comments.

Hi Alex,

Jira deleting emails creates problems (especially for shared mailboxes) when emails are needed for auditing or historical reference. There is absolutely no need for Jira to delete emails out of Outlook.
