Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×Hi there,
We are using jira for our team's weekly planning, but it's time consuming and frustrating to create the same issues every week, as we have a few recurring ones that we need to solve every week. Is there a way to create recurring issues so that we don't have to create them again every week?
Thank you!
Eva
Hi Eva and welcome to the Community!
You can use the built in Project Automation to accomplish this. You can set up a "Scheduled" automation that occurs every say Sunday evening or whatever. You can create whatever tasks/sub-tasks etc you want. Here is some documentation that should help - automate-your-jira-cloud-processes-and-workflows
Wow, very quick on the trigger there! and super useful. Thanks a mil! :)

Ha...you caught me during my Community focus time. ;-) Glad to help. LMK if you run into issues.

@Jack Brickey , I can't seem to find this option with my "scheduled":
Am I missing some requirement? Thanks in advance!
Nevermind. I didn't have to write JQL only; misread that.
Thanks for the tips!!
