Is there a way to get the Rich Text gadget to show to users not logged in?

This seems like an odd question as I know if not done right there can be security concerns.

We are wanting to show the rich text gadget rather a user is signed in or not. We are making some changes to how users log in and want to show them information regarding what they need to do to update the their accounts to log in.

Nothing that will be is the box will be a security concern for us.

Hi @Gaven Ray,

I don't have access to a Jira Server or Data Center, so I can't test it, but if I remember correctly, you can:

  1. Update the Introduction gadget with any text you want (⚙️ > System > Edit settings > Introduction; see related documentation)
  2. Add the Introduction gadget to your system dashboard (⚙️ > System > User interface > System dashboard; see related documentation)
  3. And it should show up even for not-logged in users

Hope this helps!

The introduction gadget only allows for Wiki Markup not rich text. It does not give the same level of customization as we would like from the Rich Text Gadget.
