Hi
I haven't work with Jira for some time but know I'm in a new project and I would like to add a new Issue Type Feature. A Feature will be the highest level and will be broken down to 1 ore more Epic, a Epica can then be broken down to 1 ore many Stories and so on.
When I have selected an Epic I can create one or many sub issues (Task or Stories) but when i have a Featue (the new issue type) i can add one or many sub issues but only of issue type task, can I change that so that I can add one or many sub issues (Task or Epics)
Hi Victor,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
No, you cannot change the change the type that is created as a sub-issue to your feature.
If you are on a Premium plan you have access to Advanced roadmaps, which allows you to set up a hierarchy above of what Jira can do (Epics - Stories/Tasks - Sub-tasks). If you are not on the Premium plan you would have to either use the linked issues to create a similar set up, or use an app like Structure which allows you to create a customized hierarchy.
