Jira Work Management: Can't assign unscheduled items to calendar

I am trying to assign unscheduled items to the calendar view in Jira Work Management Project. I am an admin and, as far as I can see, have all the proper permissions.

How can I get this to work? Or what permissions are required to make this work?

Dragging the issue to the calendar will attempt to set the Start Date and Due Date fields of the issue. Are you able to set those directly by editing an issue? 

Are you working in a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? For a Company Managed project you would need the Edit Issue and Schedule Issue permissions.

I didn't have a Start Date as part of the issue screen. Once I added that to the screen it allowed me to add it to the calendar. Thanks.
