If I create a task INSIDE the JIRA Canban Board, meaning on the bottom in each column, the task appears in the Board. But if I use the main "Create" Button in the upper menu of the web page, the task simply won't end up in the Board. What am I missing here?
What displays on your kanban board is driven by the underlying filter. I suspect that when you create an issue outside of your kanban board there is some parameter that falls outside of your filter. For example the status of a newly created issue might be to do and maybe your kanban board as the to do items going to the backlog. for me to diagnose the precise calls of your issue I need to understand more details. Can you provide the following:

@Jack Brickey good point, I forgot about the board filter. Thank you!!

Ok so you are using TMP not CMP so scratch the whole board filter bit.
are the issues created via the CREATE button landing in the backlog?

@Jack Brickey The issues created via the CREATE button end up in the backlog. But I do not understand your first point. What do I need to change?

in my first reply I wrongly assumed that you were using a CMP project but in fact you have a TMP project. you don't need to do anything here.
Things appear to be working as expected. If you create an issue in the board that creates it in that status. the create does so in the backlog.

So if I create the issue via the CREATE button there is no way it will end up in the Board? Only if I create it in one of the columns in the Board?

No, even after a refresh it does not pop up. I can only find the issues in the Roadmap and Issues List, but not in the Board.

@Fabienne Bühler are you looking for an automatic refresh? If so, I don't believe that happens. I need to refresh the page and then the issue will show up.
