Non -editable fields for a group of users

Hello, we're looking for way or an add on that would allow to make certain fields non editable for a group of users. 

We're tried with the app: Secure Custom Fields - Security & Permission - for Jira. The app is doing what it should but the problem is that the secure fields are not visible in standard Jira filters and require separate import/export - which makes the reporting really manual (would require exporting filters into excel for standard Jira fields and secure ones and vlookups in Excel - clearly taking away one of Jira strenghts!

Is anyone aware of other apps or ways to achieve the need whilst allowing for filtering?
