Hi folks,
I am trying to add multiple users to Approvers field via post-function in workflow, but could not figure out what value should I use. I have tried user name, user email, user id but no luck.
Thanks in advance.
Hi @duynb92 ,
You can use the user's AtlassianID. To see how to find the ID, please follow the instructions in the article below
https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/where-can-i-find-my-Account-ID/qaq-p/976527
Find the ID of the user and paste it into the Custom Field value of the post function and it should work.
Is there any particular reason that you'd like to use the post function instead of an automation rule? I would recommend that you use the Automation functionality to set the value of the Approvers field. If you know the user beforehand you can also update the default value of the field.
Here's a guide to show you automation basics.

Hi @duynb92
What kind of field is Approvers? And are these specific users - or if not, how are these users identified?

Hi @Ste Wright ,
Approvers field is Jira service desk default field.
These users I want to add are all users which already exist in JIRA system.

Duy
