Pre-Populate Summary Field on Create Screen

Has anyone managed to solve the age-old question on how to pre-populate the summary field on the create screen? I would like mine to say "Comp Change Request" automatically when I create a new ticket.

Hey @Scott Federman - Easiest way is with automation:

  • TRIGGER: Issue Create
  • ACTION: Edit Issue Fields

Then you can statically set the field to "Comp Change Request"

thats what i tried but it does not populate a default text on the create screen

Ahh - You want it to default text that the user can override?  Yeah, I don't believe there's a way to do that natively.

yeahh thats what i was worried about. I was hoping an update was made recently i didn't know about.
