Remove Kanban Board view as project default view

Josep Guallar-Esteve August 6, 2020

After JIRA's update, now projects start with Kanban Board view.

Is it possible to undo this?

How do I remove Kanban Board page from a project?

How do I make the "Issues" page the default page on a project?

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Josep Guallar-Esteve

I don't believe this is a new setting - the board has been the default view for a project for sometime.

In Cloud, boards sit under projects - you can change the location project of the board though if preferred. You'll need to be a Board Admin and then:

  1. Go to your Board - then in the top-right, select Options (3-dots icon) > Board Settings
  2. Select General from the left-hand menu
  3. Under "Location" move the board from your current project to whichever project you'd like it to be located under

If no board is needed - you could also just delete the board.

Once there are no boards located under a project, its default view revert to the issue list.
