Smart fields| Adding timestamp, Percent complete and calculating differences

I am looking for answers to a few items. Thanks.

  1. Currently, I am using the actual start and actual end fields but it defaults to the timestamp of midnight. I have tried everything to change the formatting but nothing has helped. i.e. June 28, 2023 11:24 am
  2. What custom field do I use to calculate the percent complete or set up a percent complete formula? i.e. 80% complete
  3. Once I have step 1 resolved, I am looking to calculate the difference between the actual start and actual end. i.e. 2 days and 5 min

Hi @Yufang Vangaasbeek

Let me try to help.

  1. First check in Admin | System | Advanced settings, you might be able to change the date format but it is system wide.
  2. You don't need to have a custom field to get progress. The definition of progress in Jira could be based on number of issues resolved or number of stories completed. You have to figure out how you want to track progress and at what level and for what scope.
  3. For time difference you can create a field and update it using automation rules. I made a video on this topic.

I hope it helps.

HI @Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_ ,

Thanks for the insights. I watched the video and got to this formula, {{issue.customfield_10009.diff(issue.customfield_10008).businessDays}}, but it still rendered the below error. Please advise. Thanks.
