We frequently attach data queries to our Jira tickets. For some better known domains, Jira automatically changes the domain to the domain's header. See below:
Here, the actual code is citing nordstrom.com and shoprite.com, but is being automatically changed by Jira. Can this feature be disabled?
I am having this same problem, and where as adding a code snippet works, this is really annoying. It involves so many more mouse clicks to perform this simple action.
I am using Jira to do cyber threat hunting and I need the web domains to remain in plain text so that my analysts can easily copy, paste, and attempt to track what is going on with these websites.
This "feature" really gets in the way.
It would also be much easier if we could just go back to the text-editing mode.
i can't agree more , it's more of a bug than a feature!

Hi Michael
Others have the same question but doesn't seem to be a way to disable smart links e.g.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-77208
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-77107
One option would to be insert the text into a code snippet which won't be rendered as a smart link
