The convert to-subtask option is not available on the "More" drop-down

How can i convert task to sub task in Jira Work management free plan.

Hi @vrunda -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

In Jira Work Management, company-managed projects show Convert to Subtask as a separate menu item but the team-managed projects do not.

Are you using a team-managed project?

If so, you may use the Move option, and then select changing the issue type to Subtask and add the new parent issue.

Yes we are using team managed products. The move option does not work if i simply drag and drop the task in sub task.

Hi Vrunda,

There are some possible reasons for this.

1) check if you have subtask issuetype added to your issue scheme. if its not there you wont see that option.

2) subtask issue type is there but still if you don't have permission for creating issues then you cant create them.

check these two options and let me know.

Yes i have added sub task to issue scheme.

I want to change some of the tasks that i have added to subtask.

are you using Team Managed project or Company Managed Project? if Team Managed use the options which Bill shared above.
