Hi, I have two questions.
1) Unfortunately I can't add a sub task, see screenshot. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with the settings. Can someone help me? I suspect that I have something wrong in the workflow or transition. See screenshots of my settings.
2) Is it possible if I click on the button "create subtask" within an issue type that the subtask issue schedule is immediately opened instead of adding the subline first?
Cheers
Alfons
Your screenshots don't tell us why you "can't create a sub-task". The second one, with the issue type scheme tells us that you have a setup that allows you to.
What happens when you click create sub-task in the parent issue's menu, or the + button on the current list of sub-tasks on it (shown in your last screenshot for question 2)
Hello Nic,
I think you missed my first screenshot. If I click on + or via the add subtask button, I get the message below.
Also I can't get to the subtask creation screen

No, I didn't miss it, it just doesn't tell us anything.
It's not showing you a message, it's a list of sub-tasks.

Ok maybe I'm not complete enough.
When I add a subtask I get the situation as presented on the screenshot. If I then refresh the page, the subtask is gone again. So it is not added to the issue.
If the above is not sufficient, can you indicate what more information you need to be able to estimate it properly?

Problem solved, a specific field was required and not in the scheme

It was almost certainly a custom field and it probably doesn't matter to you, as it is very unlikely that you have the same configuration as Alfons. If you're having the same problem that Alfons didn't show us, then you're going to need to go look at your field configuration and workflow.
The problem was not "could not go to create a sub task", it was "sub task creation requires a field to be filled", probably one not on the 'create issue' screen, so it could not be filled in. As Alfons suggests in the question, you need to check the field configuration and workflow for mandatory flags and validators, or possibly add the required field to the create screen.

It absolutely was a deleted custom field in a create post function on the workflow - good shout @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- :)
