User, with full project access is unable to edit issues using the new JIRA view

David Frager July 25, 2020

I have a classic JIIRA project, and the user has full project access that is unable to edit issues in the project if the new Jira view is enabled.

Once i turned off that option, the user had the expected Edit permissions available.

Is there another setting that needs to be enable to allow the new view to work properly>

Hello @David Frager , are you or others able to edit issues? In new jira issue view there is no edit button like old view has. In the new jira issue view you edit the issue by clicking on the issue fields directly in-line. If the user still has issue editing the fields in-line a Jira Admin can use the Permission Helper to verify the permissions of that user.

Thank you for the response.  I was trying to use the "." short-cut to edit a specific field.

Once i looked closer at the screen, i was able to see the field that needed to be edited, and that all fields are editable, as you described.

Thanks
