What reports are included with NextGen?

Deleted user February 25, 2019

We manage via NextGen using projects, epics, sprints, stories, story points...At present we appear to have Burndown Report and Velocity Report capability only. Are there  other standard reporting features that are included with NextGen?

Thanks

Dwight

Hi @[deleted]

I can confirm that the only two reports available for next-gen Jira Software so far are Burnup and Velocity. As @Marty said, we're constantly working on the next-gen experience, so please do keep an eye out.

What other reports would you like to see in next-gen projects? It would help us a lot if you could tell us what reports you use and what you find them useful about them.

Regards,

Kevin

I use Epic Burndown & Release Burndown reports for my projects, so would be great to have those.

just add a filter drop down to those two reports that exist for Epic and Label and I'm ecstatic.  That'd let me get those two reports for any grouping I need.

I would really like to see Version reports in Jira Next Gen projects. My company is willing to move over from Classic to NextGen but only until we can see Version reports. So would really like to see Version reports as soon as possible on Next Gen Projects please. When can this be delivered?  I also have another query, will all Next Gen projects be backed up by Jira cloud as the last time i checked only classic Jira projects were being backed up by Jira cloud.

Please let me know the latest on this.

Cheers,

Salman

I second this, we can only migrate once version reports are there

Yes, please add version progress tracking/reporting. Please. WCOT (With Cherry On Top).

Right now the only way to see that progress is to look at the progress bar for the version, next to the start/end dates. That doesn't convey what's going on nearly as well as some kind of release burn-up chart.

Has anything happened since this thread started?

I have a business owner how asks for a version report and because we run NextGen it seems like we can't produce one.

The terrible reporting options (or lack of options) in NextGen and confusion of classic versus NextGen versions of Jira means I am close to recommend we move our release train to ADS.

Hello, integration of time tracking reports add-on would be very helpful. Could you advise how to ad time reports to next-gen project?

Hi Dwight,

I'm not on the Jira team, but I will try to help.

The Burnup report and the Velocity Report are the only 2 reports that I see in my next gen project.

I do know that the team working on Jira Next-Gen regularly listen to Customer feedback.  I would recommend jumping on this thread in the Community to discuss if there is another type of report that you're looking for: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Next-gen-articles/What-s-coming-soon-for-next-gen-projects-in-Jira-Software-Cloud/ba-p/894784

I also know that Jira Next-Gen projects are not considered "done" yet.  You can keep track of shipped and upcoming features here: https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/jira-software

I hope that helps!

Epic and Sprint reports would be great. I'm working with an agile team that works in sprints, and I can't find a way to actually "use" it effectively for an agile team, like you could with the classic version or even with Greenhopper.

Issue analysis -  Pie chart, completed vs created based on issue type, status, story point  etc.

Can the guys in Atlassian please push Version reports in Next Gen projects ASAP as this is the only blocker for my company moving to Next gen?

Cheers,

Salman
