I have custom fields that have descriptions as to how the fields are to be used. These fields are not on my create screens but are on view/edit screens. For the life of me, when using the new issue view I can't figure out where or when those field descriptions are displayed.
If I add the custom field to the create screen then yes I do see the description when creating a new issue. But when simply viewing or editing an issue (not creating) where is that description information displayed?
The description for custom fields is currently not available in the issue view itself. Would you expect them to be accessible in any particular way?
Hi @Fernando Bordallo - I have experienced the same thing. Maybe having a ? link beside the field to be able to click on to see the Description might be a good way. Right now, you can't see anything about the field.

I second @John Funk 's idea about a ? link. When you hover over a field in the new issue view it goes gray to show focus and the ? could become visible at that point so as not to clutter the interface too much.
@Fernando Bordallo is this on the new issue view roadmap anywhere? or should I log it as a product suggestion. It does seem that since adding a custom field gives you a place to describe that field that the description should be available to users in some fashion.

Indeed a good suggestion! And yes, I would recommend you put it through as a feature request/product suggestion for the new issue view 🚀
