HI Ulrika,

This report is only available if you have enabled time-tracking and have installed the JIRA Charting Plugin.

Double check that you have the Jira Charting Plugin installed and enabled on the right version of the app.  For Jira 7.10 it looks like version 2.3.0 is the one you want as the previous versions are not jira 7 compatible and the latest version 3.0.0 on only compatible with Jira 8.0 and later, the version can be found in the marketplace version list here:

And Details on manually installing the OBR package from the link above can be seen here:

If you have the app installed with the correct version also make sure you have time-tracking enabled.  and let me know if this did the trick.

Earl

Hi Earl,

In the plugin referenced, it says it is unsafe for data environments. Could you elaborate on this more?

I posted a related question here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/3773794 . Have there been any updates over the years? Or is it still not possible to to sum up story points per user on any gadget / JQL filter in JIRA Server.

Thanks

Hi @tstebbin ,

Good question on the note about: "The plugin is unsafe for use in Data Center environments", As noted there are scenarios where the application can deadlock a node in Data Center Deployments in varying circumstances as the caching files are not optimized to be shared between multiple servers, So it is always Recommended to use a Data Center Verified Compatible apps  to prevent this scenario.

You can see in the marketplace listing the add-on apps hosting compatibility listing in the drop down under the Try and Buy options.  There will be a listing of Cloud Server and Data Center when all three options are avaliable like this:

Cloud app versions will only be compatible with Cloud and a Server apps will not work on Cloud either, But you can install Server and Data Center app versions interchangeably, and in most scenarios the apps will work without issue however there are some apps where this is not recommended due to aforementioned deadlock that can occur if the app is not optimized for Data Centers shared caching between the nodes, and vice versa some Data Center Only apps require the shared caching folder to operate and will cause a Standalone server install to fail over, in these cases the app will indicate the incompatibility with the warning.

In Jira Both Server and Datacenter are self hosted server deployments of the application, and the main difference between Server and DataCenter is that Data Center is designed for high availability by permitting multiple application server nodes running in parallel through a load balancer for increased uptime during maintenance operations and upgrades (Apps have a shared caching location to sync data across the nodes), whereas Server only permits one application server so restarts and indexing operations will take users offline during those actions.

Check out the following Blog post that highlights the differences between the Server and Data Center deployment platforms for a more details comparison:

So long story short, if you're using Data Center you can't do this.
