I did not close my sprint but it's gone.
One of my sprints just disappeared from the menu when creating a new ticket; so I want to edit my sprints but I can't find BACKLOG anywhere.
Where do I find my sprints to edit or re-open a sprint?
I can not find "Backlog" as the help center tells me.
Is the knowledge base out of date?
Hello @Dallas Devam
Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? That information will show at the bottom of the panel on the left?
Can you confirm that you are viewing a Scrum board? If you are then you should see a "Backlog" option in the panel on the left and either a "Board" option or an option named "Active Sprints".
Can you provide screen images of what you are seeing for your board, including the navigation panel on the left?
There are several possible explanations for this.
If you are using a Team Managed project the Project Administrator may have changed the board from Scrum to Kanban. That could explain the absence of a "Backlog" option in the navigation panel on the left.
If you are using a Scrum board, the sprint may have been closed. The sprint may also have been deleted. You can go to the Filters > View All Issues page to try to search for issues in the sprint to see if the sprint still exists.
Company managed project.
I can't find how to view the scrum board.

BTW the issues are not gone; just when I try to create a new ticket; I can't see it.
So; I opened an existing ticket and clicked the sprint and get an "exclamation mark"
I didn't close the sprint so I don't understand.
Is there a max limit on the number of tickets per sprint?

If there are any agile boards associated with the project should display in the navigation panel on the left. If there is only one board associated with the project, it should display automatically when you navigate to that project. If there is more than one board, then there should be a selection list for the boards.
This will be visible only to users that have been granted a license to the Jira Software product for your site, and for those users that also have the Browse Projects permission for the project.
Can you show us a screen image of what you see in this panel with you select the project?

Weird; I don't see what you displayed.
When I pull down the menu "Board"; it tells me "We're havingn trouble connecting to your boards."
And then You currently don't have access to perform this operation.
But I am the Administrator.

Have you confirmed that you have been granted product access for the Jira Software product? That would be found in the https://admin.atlassian.com interface.
Are you able to access boards for other projects?
Can you show us a screen image of what you see?

If you can then the problem is specific to this project, and we will propose ways to debug that.
However, if you are not able to access the Boards functionality in any Software project, then it is possible that you do not have Product Access (a license for) the Jira Software product specifically. Being a Site Admin does not mean that you automatically have a license for each product. We will propose ways to debug that, if you're not able to access any boards for any projects.

This screen indicates that you do have the Jira Software product installed on your site.
However this screen...
...indicates that you have licensed access to the Jira Service Management product, but not the Jira Software product. If you don't have licensed access to the Jira Software product, you will not be able to access features that are specific to that product which includes the agile board (Scrum and Kanban) features.
You will need to go to the Product Access configuration for your site (Under the Products menu, then select your site). There you should see a list of the products each with a tab for Product Access and Administration Access. You need to make sure that you are in one of the user groups that is listed on the Product Access tab for the Jira Software product. This example screen shows just one product on this particular site and one group used for product access for that product.

I can see the kanban board now for sprint 10 but I still can't see sprint 10 when I create a new ticket.

First, just for clarity, a "kanban" board does not include sprints. When you have a board that includes sprints it is referred to as a "scrum" board.
Can you provide a screen image of the board showing sprint 10, please?
Can you also provide a screen image of the Create Issue dialog and the Sprint field with the options it provides when you try to type in "sprint 10"?

I can see sprint 10 in the menu only when I un-check the box "Only display sprints in this project".
How did sprint 10 get removed from the project? Or how do I add it back? I tried "Edit Sprint" but I don't see "add to project".

Hello @Dallas Devam
The project to which the sprint belongs is based on the Location setting for the board where the sprint was created.
It is possible that the sprint was created in a board where the board's Location was set to a different project. If that is the case then the sprint is not considered to be part of the CROP project.
Jira will allow you to add issues to sprints that are created in any board under any project. Each sprint will be displayed in:
1. The board where it was originally created, and
2. In any scrum board where the scope of the board's filter includes an issue that has been assigned to the sprint.
In Jira Cloud there is no simple way to to look at a sprint and determine in which board it was created. If you remove all issues from the sprint, then the sprint will default to displaying in only the board where it was originally created (point #1 above), but it may not be feasible to remove all the issues from a sprint.

Thanks for that great explanation!
It's no problem; I just uncheck the box easy enough to see it :)
