Hello Community. Am wondering if there is a way for users to get a notification of a missing field when it comes to transitions. Like as per the picture below, a status change to "In progress" won't be possible unless the "Environment" Field is filled in, is there a way to enable notification for any users trying to transfer an item to in progress without that requirement being met? Letting them know what field is missing. Right now, it just won't let them transition the issue, but the user won't know what field is missing if they are not notified of it. Is there a way to display it? hopefully what am asking is clear. Thanks
You can use the Workflow validator on the transition where you can keep field required.
Here user can also see which field are mandatory and get the error message for those field if they forget to enter.
Pls Accept the answer if it helps

In Team managed project we don't have way to add validator.
We have rule where we don't have away to display any error message it work as condition if it satisfy then transition we be hide.
This is the know bug raised with Atlassian - which will full fill your requirement.
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17631.
Workaround - After creation of an issue if some fields are missing then you can send mail to the reporter saying that this fields are mandatory enter values for those fields. You can use automation rule for this
Pls Accept the answer if it helps.
Thanks,
Sachin
