I'm trying to recover what's been described as 'permanently deleted' Jira Cards.
I really need these cards for auditing purposes, so it's highly stressfull.
Any help would be amazing!
Thanks so much.
Hello @Andrew Prowse ,
Unfortunately, as it has already been mentioned there is no possibility of restoring deleted issues unless you have a backup done before the deletion.
Hovewer, maybe, this article will be useful: https://gitprotect.io/blog/jira-issue-recovery-guide-how-to-restore-deleted-issues-in-jira/
Regards,
Daria
It's not possible to find and recover a deleted card. There is no "recycle bin" in Jira.
You can only take some actions to prevent losing deleted issues in the future (backups or add-ons). More info here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/App-Central-articles/Jira-Cloud-How-to-restore-deleted-issue/ba-p/2254580

Hi Andrew,
Welcome to community :)
I'm afraid to that currently there is no audit log for the deleted issues event in the Jira application.
. However, there is a feature request in place to have audit logs in place for the deleted issues which can be tracked here
You can check out the workarounds provided in the feature request for the same.
Thank You,
Prachi

Deleted Jira issues cannot be restored unless your team generates and stores a backup locally.
I would strongly suggest you and your team create a backup regularly with the native Jira backup or the third-party backup solutions.
Thank you.
