Since the Cloud version of ScriptRunner does not support Behaviors, are there any alternative plugins/solutions for building out rules/code around custom fields?
Behaviours was second on the list of things to add to "ScriptRunner for Jira Cloud" for a very long time for the SR team. First were Conditions and Validators, but Atlassian finally gave us a way to do them.
There are no ways to do Behaviours, Atlassian Cloud simply can't support them, yet.
But please, do reach out to partners. I think all of us want to help. You should talk to several so you get a good range of options, but I think you'll find most just want to improve the software for you.
Obviously including Adaptavist - got to get that mention in there before one of my sales guys withdraws my free beer privileges for not plugging us.
Hello Tyler!
This is a question we get a lot here at Cprime regarding Power Scripts. Unfortunately, creating a plugin that modifies the behavior of the Jira UI in the Cloud is not possible due to the basic architecture of the cloud environment.
If you are using such a feature to listen for changes to a specific custom field, it is still possible to do so using an "Issue Updated" listener.
Please feel free to stop by chat sometime to discuss alternatives to other features that you may different in the Cloud.
