Search part of "Procedure/Reference Number

Mathis Le Roux June 28, 2023 edited

Hello everyone,

I have a question about a research. I have a lot of issues that contain "G7-E7/ ...", after this, the rest is different for each issue.

I want to create a filter where I can search all the issues that contain G7-E7. However it doesn't work. I don't really understand why it doesn't work. ~ is supposed to mean "contains". But even if I have a lot of issues with "G7-E7", it doesn't show anything. You can see on the second screenshot that this is working when I put the entire name.

Screen 2:Search2.png Does anyone know why it isn't working?

I have tried the ~ on a research with the field summary and it works.

Thanks,

Mathis

Hi Mathis,

What is the type of the field? Edit the custom field and check the 'search template' if it is set to Free text. ~ should work as contains.

Hello Santhosh,

My field is a free text yes. I will look with the admin if we can change it, thank you.
