I'm getting this error while trying to connect a project to a Slack public channel.

This error may happen because the Slack integration lacks access to the project.

Frequently the atlassian-addons-project-access project role is missing from the Browse and Administer project permissions.

See this answer for a step-by-step guide to add the permissions back.

If that does not solve the issue, you can also try Atlassian support or use /jira feedback to provide more details about your specific case.
