Sprint Dates used for Advanced Roadmaps

I am trialing Advanced Roadmaps.  We have work that crosses scrum team boundaries. I built an Advanced Roadmap using a filter that pulls in all stories tied to a couple of different Epics that identify all the deliverables for this cross team effort.

The Jira Config for the Advanced Roadmap has an option to use the sprint dates if i haven't filled in my start and end dates.

This seems to work for Advanced Roadmaps that are for a single project.  It _does not work_ for my cross team project.

Any ideas / Help?

I have stories that are assigned to sprints in my roadmap.  Those sprints have a start and end date.  I have not explicitly set a start date or end date for these stories

My expectation is that, when those dates are not explicitly set, the Roadmap will use the start and end dates for the sprint that the story is assigned to.

The above is not happening.
