Unable to add new 'status' in a workflow

We have a project workflow assigned to all projects within JIRA. I was trying to edit the workflow and add a new 'status' but it wouldn't allow me to do so. When I click on the 'Add Status', enter the new status and try to 'Add', the 'Add' button is disabled. Any steps to resolve this? Attached is the image.

I found it is something screen adjustment issue.

Button, is available but we are unable to view it.

Two things I can think of:

1. The status you are trying to enter, already exists in your workflow
2. The "Add" button is grayed out on mouse hover. This means that is clickable. Did you try to click it?

Does this happen only with a specific workflow, or with other workflow as well?

Is your workflow active or inactive?

@Alex Koxaras -Relational- - I have tried editing only this workflow which is active. I have not tried editing other workflows. Hope this helps.

I would suggest for you to copy this workflow and make the changes on the inactive copy. See if you can add new statuses there. If you can, then this great.

Then I would simply change the old workflow with the new one.

I have the same problem with the inactive copy of a workflow. I can add just statuses that are already listed in the drop down menu but when I need to add a brand new status then it is not possible. I am a site admin.
