Use REST API to find board(s) containing Epic

I'm trying to get Epic burndown details via the REST API with just an Epic's key. Most of the REST API seems to need a boardId (rapidViewId) to return any information.

So, how do I determine which board(s) contain an Epic? (or can I get Epic details from just the Epic's key?

What I'm trying to do is the REST API equivalent of GHGoToBoard.jspa.
