Please can someone advise? I am trying to link issues in Jira. All are linking expect any issues that have a 'done' status. For some reason the 'done' status tasks show up a the issue key or link is not recognised. Does anyone know how I can link the 'done' tasks? TIA
The done tasks are now no even showing on the board, but still show on the timelive view as done. Why would this happen?
Using the 'board' view I click on the three dots on the 'done' issue and select 'copy link'. I then go to another issue that it's done and click to add link. When I paste the link in or type the issue key for the 'done' issue, it comes up with a message to say it can't find the issue key or no matches for that issue key. Does this give enough info?

Hello @Natalie Keane
Can you provide details steps for what you are doing? Screen images or a video would also be helpful to show us what you are seeing.
When you try to "link" a "done" issue, what happens? Is there an error message? Are you trying to type in the issue key and no match is found?
With more details we may be able to offer you meaningful advice.

Pasting the full URL definitely would not work. Typing the issue key generally should work.
Are the issues in the same project?
Can you provide screen images that show the link field and the error when you type in the key?

Thank you for trying to help me. It comes up with a red error message saying 'can't find (the issue key). Try searching for another issue key. The two 'done' issues also no longer show on the board view, but do still show as done on the timeline view. Why would this happen?
Typing the issue name and issue key did not work when trying to add the link

What type of project are you using? Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu, looking at the Type column for your project in that list.
And what type of board is it? For Kanban style boards issues that are done may be automatically hidden from the board view when they have been done for 2 weeks or longer.
Can you provide screen images of your board, one of the done issues, and the issue where you are trying to add the link? Screen images often can help us identify a problem faster than asking many questions. Obscure confidential information as needed.
