Hi,
I've edited a workflow in a software development Kanban project.
I've published it, but when returning to the board, the changes are not reflected.
When returning to the workflow editor, I see the changes I've made but I also see that this workflow is marked as a draft:
What can I do, to make the changes I've made reflected in the project's kanban board?
The "draft" means the workflow is being actively edited and is not yet active.
To get your Kanban board updated, you will need to
Thank you @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- .
When I tap the "Publish Draft" button the status doesn't change to "published".
What can be the reason for that?

What error message do you get when you do that?

I don't get an error message, I get a confirmation message saying: "Your draft workflow is now active"

Ah, I see, yes, it saves it and then returns you to the editor.
Your changes should have affected the workflow now, so you should go look again at reconfiguring the board.

They didn't:/ Could this be due to this workflow being shared with other boards? there's also a message below the part I've circled saying: "This workflow process is..." Connencted?

No, the usage of the workflow by other projects (not boards, boards don't have a direct connection to workflows - they connect by selectings issues from projects, and the projects are connected to the workflow) does not matter here.
The text that says "don't edit this workflow" is there because the workflow was generated by an admin using the "simplify workflow" option from a board. It won't stop you editing the workflow, but it is warning you that any edit you make to the workflow may stop the board working, and that if the board is still simplified, your changes could easily be destroyed by people using the board.
This is because a simplified workflow for a board is created by the board, and the board admin/owner can reconfigure the board. If they add a new column, the workflow needs a new status for it, so whenever an admin changes the board, Jira edits (or even sometimes, recreates) the workflow.

Thanks for this @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-.
So - What can I do to reflect the changes I've made to the workflow on the project's board?

You'll need to get the workflow published, and then modify the board settings.
I am stuck on why you can't publish the changes though, I think you'll need to raise that with Atlassian direct, on https://support.atlassian.com/contact

Hi @Erez Baron @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- , I had the same problem and I was able to see that the new statuses that I added were listed on the unmapped statuses. This is because they had no issues inside them. I solved this by creating new columns on the board settings and mapping the respective statuses.
