Hello,
I wanted to check if there's a way to add a gadget to a report/create a report which shows a chart of the distribution of request types and their quantity. i.e. how many we have from each request type that have a "to do" status.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Idan
If you don't mind using 3rd party apps, you can try eazyBI for the Jira app. In eazyBI, you can build simple reports to get issues by their type and status and allow users to filter data by other criteria, like Project, Reporter, Priority, or some issue custom field. you can interact with the report and see which issues are behind each number.
You can take advantage of the tool and create more interesting analytics to see how many issues were in To Do by issue types over time or investigate deeper when you find an unexpected pattern.
Most popular report templates you can check out in eazyBI Demo account at any time (no login required):

Hi @Idan Shteinberg -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The only built-in dashboard gadget that might meet your need is the pie chart gadget. Please look here for more information: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/use-dashboard-gadgets/
IMHO, Jira has limited out-of-the-box reporting features...so if you need something else to meet your needs consider investigating the marketplace for addon apps or exporting the information for reporting in other tools.
Kind regards,
Bill

Native reports like this a pretty limited.
Custom Charts for Jira is popular, cheap, and does the job: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1220925/custom-charts-for-jira-reports?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
Screenful or EazyBI are more complex options with fuller features but may not be needed here.

Hi @Idan Shteinberg,
I am Marlene from codefortynine.
Our Marketplace app Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards might also suit for your use case.
With our app you can filter dashboard gadgets dynamically. In the example below you see how you could configure your Quick Controller and the "Quick Pie Chart" gadget.
The Quick Controller filters the Quick Pie Chart gadget below. In this state all statuses for the request type "Emailed request" are displayed.
If you're interested in testing Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards you can try our demo.
